Surfer spotting

Angel(a) came over for the weekend! I took her to eat dinner in the dining hall and was a horrible host and let her just hang around because I had a major essay due that night.... But! I finished by 9 pm, which was a big deal because it was due at midnight, and I always finish right before the deadline. Then I took her to King St. Hotel on Friday night. She found a sombrero... Hahaha.

Saturday, we went to Nobbys Beach. The first time I went to a beach in Newcastle. Normally, I'm not a beach person. All you can do is just sit in the sun, swim, and play volleyball. Its pretty boring, but for some reason I don't mind that hear. I think I can get used to it. Especially watching the surfer's do what they do best. Teehee. Besides, it would suck if I didn't like the beach since I'm in Australia... in the summer...

After the beach, we went to the Darby St. to get the best smoothie in the world at Monkey Monkey Monkey (pronounced 3 monkeys) and found out there was a Bohemian Festival going on. The street was filled with stands of food, indie bands performing, street performers, and artists.
