Autonomy Day!

The day that the University of Newcastle became independent from the University of New South Wales. Its actually a real celebration throughout campus.

The festivities started at 3 am. Obviously, the students in college will celebrate the shit out of this day. Our unit woke up at 2:30 for breakfast. I did not sleep at all. I had a paper due on Friday, on Auto day. I heard about this day, you basically drink until you pass out... So for the first time ever, I stayed up all night Thursday to do it because I did not want to risk waking up in the hospital and missing the deadline.

Almost everyone in my Block came in my unit and we played card games, pong, and had drinking races, literally. We played a different version for King's Cup. Ace was Gecko, where the goal was to not be the last person to run and stick to the wall. That was fun. Haha.

Gotta keep going!!!

Around 6 am, we all met in the courtyard to drink more.

Then walked to the party at BOTH, where we were fed again and had live bands. I love that stuff.

I was not only drunk, but let's just say I was also feeling really REALLY relaxed. Actually too relaxed that I got back to my unit and passed out at 9 am on the couch.... I woke up at 4:30, just in time for dinner... Haha. After dinner, some friends came over to play cards and I taught them games I learned from TNTT (Vietnamese Eucharistic Youth Society).
