'Stralia!

Finally in Australia!

Two nights before I met up with other family members in Cali. It was great seeing them but it was starting to seem like Australia was not going to happen for me. I took my new friend, Sofia from Mexico, with me to see my family. Haha. Good hospitality, I’d like to think. Its so funny when you watch people who don’t understand each other communicate. All we did was spend time with the kids and go out to eat before we finally left California at 10 pm-ish. I knocked out for the whole 15 hour ride, but I’m here.

I spent the day meeting up with others in my program. One guy and a bunch of girls, with me, the token Asian girl. Can you say diverse?

But anyways!

I’m a motherfucking champ. Right when I got to Sydney, I went to the Rocks, and then up the Sydney Eye, Sydney is nice but it reminds me too much of Boston. -_- The tower didn’t even really excite me because I’ve seen better views, like last year in Dublin at the Guinness Factory. But yeah…

Then we went jetboating! Good stuff, I just wish it was faster. Haha. 

After that we made our way to Newcastle, where we checked in our hostel and had dinner at the Clarendon. I was definitely feeling nauseous but I stuck it out and stayed out until 2 am. Yolo right there. I almost fell asleep at the club though.

Odd thing about the club here. I’m not saying I’m sexy or anything like that, but let’s just say that the guys in Australia don’t seem to like me? I dunno. I just hope its not because I’m Asian. Hahaha.
