I left Trinity by 4:00. It was so dark outside, and people were just getting taxis back to their homes. I thought I was going to get mugged. The bus was fucking late. How are you going to be here at 5:08 when you were suppose to be here at 4:35?! Could've slept in! I didn't get that much sleep, so I was really cranky. I got off at Victoria and this man tried to take my luggage and bring it over to the terminal and expected a tip. I exchanged my pounds for euros yesterday, so I declined, but he insisted that he could take euros as well. When I declined again he just put my stuff down and started muttering mad shit and left. People need to hop off my dick.
I basically spent the whole day on the bus. They finally stamped my passport entering France! Yay! I got to the metro at around 15:35. I love how it tells you where you are!
I tried to find the bus to the hostel. Lucky me, no escalators at all...This one guy showed me directions, and I had to go back down into the metro... No one even bothered to help me. Good looking out, France.
The metro was quick but I had to change trains. I am seriously NEVER packing this much stuff with me again. I got on the bus. Those people were nice even though I took forever to get all my stuff on the bus. I found out it was only one stop, down the street, less that a 5 minute walk. FML. Took forever to get off the bus and then tried to find the hostel. There is nothing around this area. I finally found the hostel... Look at all those stairs...
The people in the hostel were nice, but the place is pretty crappy. Those raters lied. Its big, but old. We have to pay for internet. :( There's no air conditioning... Its the middle of August...humid as fuck! I'm going to be back in Boston in less than a week to experience humidity! France, why you no have mercy? :( The view is okay, at least
I met this Argentinian girl and two girls from Japan. Communication was tough for the two girls and me because they barely knew English and none of us knew French. I do admire them though for deciding to travel to another country and barely knowing the language or English. The Argentinian girl was traveling by herself, like me, but she was backpacking around Europe for the past few months alone before going back to school. I wish I had the guts to do that for months at a time. She asked me to go to the Eiffel Tower with her but I declined. I was way too tired and I already planned my whole day our for tomorrow.
She left and I decided to see if there was really anything around this area... And I was right before... There is nothing around. So I went to the market to get dinner... Nothing really there. So I bought some junkfood and soda. Wonderful dinner. I think I'll take a nap...
