Shiver me timbers!

I am currently in the Trinity College library "working" on my paper about John Major due tomorrow.... I need a break... even though I have yet to start the research aspect of it.

And that is why I am here. :) Might as well fill the few who read my blog in on recent events.

Saturday, I went on my first official pubcrawl with most of the people in the Umass Oxford Program. Woot woot! First pub of the night!

We went to six pubs and had a drink at each. When we got to our second stop, the Half Moon, we saw men dressed as pirates. It must be the norm at this club, since we saw Jack Sparrow there our first week here. This one pirate had a female blow-up doll with him. Hahaha.

I found out later that they were dressed up as pirates because they rented a boat, but were so drunk that they just stayed at the pub. Hahaha. We continued on to the next pub, where I learned how to play a game that was similar to billiards, but not really. I need to find out what that game is called. By our fifth pub, our group had gotten smaller. When we walked into the Cape of Good Hope, we saw the pirates again. I had my first and last cigarette puff. I honestly hate it when people smoke cigarettes. Why do people like it anyways? With that question, and a few beers in me, (including the very good Fruli, strawberry beer), I decided to see what was so great about it. No one condoned it since I had never smoked a cigarette before, but someone let me take a puff. It was nothing. But I have some experience. Oh yeah! Living the life! Hahaha. I then had a nice conversation with one of the pirates. He called me lovely, and referred to be as his Hawaiian chick. Hahaha.

I was very flattered and possibly, very much out of it.

Just kidding. I was definitely out of it.

When I sobered up, I was very creeped out, but cheers to crazy experiences!

Sunday was my day to attempt to read for International Law. It worked for a while. I was feeling good. My sleeping schedule is fixed, I was excited to read. Then I took a break, and it all went downhill from there. So instead, I spent the night searching and booking my trips to Wales and Ireland. YAY! I'm so excited! Now I have to figure out how to finish all my work before I have fun...

Today in International Law, I, Lilly, said something in class. Yes, its a miracle. Despite the fact that I was somewhat wrong and my heart was beating wicked fast, I am feeling better about this class and the tutor. We had a talk about punting today during afternoon tea. I mentioned it because I am extremely excited to go punting this Wednesday. I also found out that our International Law class will be going on a pub crawl with our tutor on the day of our balcony dinner. Can't wait for that! I love the fact that we have morning coffee and afternoon tea with biscuits (what the English call cookies). It gives me a break from the two hour class and to just calm my anxiety that I feel in class. Plus, its classy to have a set time for coffee and tea. :)

Now on to start my second 3000 word essay. Peace out!
