Rub-a dub-dub, in the Romans' tub.

I have been here for two weeks already and England has not yet ceased to amaze me. I just love it.

Classes, however, are just bad. I'm not active at all in my major and minor classes. I just don't know what to say. After someone says something, it makes sense, but I would never think of it. Once in a while, I do have something to say, but I guess I haven't fully accepted my stupidity since I was scared I would sound like a bigger idiot than everyone thinks. What makes me mad is that someone else will say exactly what I'm thinking, and it's right... So yeah, I'm working on that. I need to just say everything! I guess this is just a barrier that I have to knock down.

Yesterday, we had a field trip to Bath! Unfortunately, it was raining and it was cold. Our first stop was the Roman Baths. Now, I will attempt to remember the history I learned yesterday. Please correct me if I am wrong. The baths are about 2000 years old and still function the way they were designed to during Roman times.

The first 25 of us, including me, had a tour guide for it. The tour was very interesting. There's this sacred spring that the Romans built for the Goddess Minerva. The Romans would throw in whatever they had for the goddess. The funny thing was that the Romans carved letters to the goddess asking her to punish the thieves that stole their belongings. One Roman carved, "May his insides burst into flames." Hahaha. Oh, you Romans.

We were not allowed to touch the water because it had not been treated. The water has been there for so many years, you could get sick from it. The tour guide knew that some of us would touch the water, so he told us that if we were to accidentally touch the water, to immediately wash our hands. So when he turned around, I touched the water. Hahaha. I'm living life!

After that bit, he told us that we could drink the water that was actually treated. It is supposedly really good for you because there are thousands of years of minerals in it.

Since I'm living life, I drank it!

It tasted like blood. Haha.

After that Michelle, Joslyn, Marissa, Elizabeth, Becca, Cailtlin and I went to a chocolate tea place, and then the Bath Abbey, which was beautiful. We tried to go to the Jane Austen Centre, but we did not want to pay for it. It was so hard to resist since Colin Firth, as Darcy, was welcoming us in!

But we got pictures with Jane! :)

We met up with Connor and Jas and went to The Coeur de Lion pub to chill for a bit then go to the train station. The weather was so nice by then and I wanted to explore, but we had to go back in groups of four or more, so it was back to Oxford we go. :(

When I got back, I was so nauseous, so I decided to take a nap. But I ended up sleeping until 6 am. I was so happy because I caught up on sleep. Then I went back to sleep until 8:30 and then got ready to go shopping. It's ok. I'm allowed to shop because I didn't travel yet. :)

I didn't really do anything today and I still need to get a haircut... :( Ehh, maybe Tuesday...

Oh well! Now off to start off some homework, hopefully, then a pubcrawl tonight! YEAHH!!!
