Saturday night was long. I took Tina with me to work, but half way through our 20 minute bus ride to work, I realized that I forgot my purse at the bus stop... so I got off, and walked... which took almost 25 minutes back from that halfway mark. Thank god no one took my purse, but then again, on a Saturday morning, no one is really up at 9-ish AM. Then I remembered that I could take another bus, but I would have to run to the other side of campus to make it. So.... I did it... I walked again, in the cold with my flats... to the other side... I made it, and got to work at 10 on the dot! That wasn't all... the salons are always busy on Saturdays! I felt bad for Tina though, it was her first day, and she was thrown to the dogs! Haha. I ate half a sandwich in the morning. I packed lunch, but there was no time to eat... I didn't eat again until 8 pm... I should be use to it, I worked there last year.. Busy busy busy. only good part is getting PAID!
Sunday! Or as we Americans know today as "Superbowl Sunday". I went to my Little's birthday party the night before. It was all right, I didn't have too much fun because I was worried about how to get home.
Yeah, I'm becoming a grandma...
But, there weren't any busses back to my apartment from campus and I was not going to pay for a taxi, so I slept in Tina and Tiana's room. I woke up in the morning and left to catch the last bus to my apartment because Sunday bus schedules fucking suck. I waited a half an hour more because it didn't come at the right time, so I thought it was late. I just got on the first bus I saw and took it to wherever that was closest to my apartment, then walked. At this point, you are probably asking, "Don't you have friends to drive you?" I have two answers for that. The first is, "No, I don't have any friends with cars that want to drive me." The second is, "No, I don't have any friends with cars that want to do any favors for me today." You can choose which one you want to believe, whichever will make me seem like the better person.
After probably a 45 minute walk, I settled down. Then Paulette and Emily took me grocery shopping. Since there was nothing to do, I just stayed in, baked a cake, and watched the Superbowl game.
I'm not a huge sports fan, especially when it comes to football, but I like to support when I can. As a Boston girl, I root for the Pats! Its a shame they lost. But hey, karma's a bitch. Brady shouldn't have been too cocky.
