Day 18

My day consisted of staying home and trying to get my finances in order. The only productive thing I did today was buy most of my books for classes. Bad news, I couldn't sleep until 7 am, but the good news, I woke up at 9:30 am! I'm so close to fixing my sleeping schedule!

I had a talk with my dad's best friend, who is basically my uncle, and it was nice to actually have someone in my family support what I want to do with my future, and understood it. And since my relatives are still here, we had a hotpot family night, the highlight of my day! It was really nice being around everyone.

Unfortunately, it just went downhill from there. My mom was being unbearable. She is always a party pooper. Every event we go to, she always wants to go home, or stay home, and have my brothers and I stay with her to do nothing. Sometimes thats nice, but when it happens all the time, it is never nice. Then it was all shits and giggles until someone mentioned my major and one of my cousins kind of flipped out, telling me that I'm not going to get a good job as a Political Science and/or English major. It used to get me really angry, but now I don't care as much anymore, well I try not to care that much since she is my cousin. No one really understands me here, we all have different views, the only similar thing we have is that we are all related biologically. I guess it's just going to take time... and A LOT of it...
