I saw the last Harry Potter movie at midnight here! I expected more people to be dressed up to see the movie, since I was in England, the country where the book was written, after all. But no! Mostly Americans were in the theatre.
I seriously am in love with the Harry Potter books and movies, however, I was kind of disappointed in this one. The movie could've been more consistent with the books. I'll stop here to prevent spoilers and just because its the last movie, I don't want to give it a bad name. Don't get me wrong, though, I loved it, but I probably expected too much. Its a shame that its the last one. I almost cried. Almost. I hope they never do remakes of Harry Potter. Even though I was disappointed in some of the movies, I don't believe that there can ever be a better version of the series. You feels?
Yay HP!

Well after the movie, I had about three hours of sleep before the London field trip. Obviously I was excited. So many movies/shows that I've watched made London look so amazing and fun. I decided the day before that I would plank at Buckingham Palace in front of the guards just for the excitement of possibly getting in trouble with the police, having the Buckingham guards and other tourists think I'm crazy, and for just doing something that I think is so stupid-ly funny. Why not?!
We had to take three different trains, taking us about 90 minutes in total. The worst part was switching into a train with a "quiet carriage", and it also happened to be the longest ride. Knowing me, I wanted to talk. At one point, Jaquie was talking, and a lady walked all the way to the back from her seat in the front to say, "TH-IS IS A QUI-ET CARRI-AGE." exactly like that, annunciating and loudly saying it like I didn't understand English. Sorry ig'nant bitch, but you just sound mad stupid, especially with your British accent.
Anyways, when we finally got to London, our first stop was Westminster Abbey.

We explored for a bit with our audio tour but they wouldn't let us take pictures. I so wanted to plank on one of the altars. Hahaha. After that we got lunch and walked to see Big Ben.

Everything looked nice but I was disappointed. There were way too many tourists around, it was like Boston but worse. I could barely enjoy the scenery.
Buckingham Palace was next and the more we walked the more anxious I got because of my plan to plank there. Hahaha.

Unfortunately for us, we weren't allowed passed the gate near the guards because there was a special event going on. My best bet was to go to the statue across the street, Victoria Memorial.

Hahaha. After that we just caught the bus back to Oxford. And yeah, I planked on the train, too. Haha.

Later on, we went to get Indian food. I personally don't like Indian food, but since I'm in England, why not? The food was fine. I wouldn't crave it but I also wasn't disappointed.
I went back to my room to do work, and not surprisingly, ended up not doing work. I told myself I had the weekend, so it was okay to have fun for the rest of the day. So... We went to our first European club! Yay! It felt good being of age. It was fun, let's just leave it at that. :)
After, we went to McDonald's like fat pigs. I feel like all I do here is drink and eat really late at night. Whatever. "When in Rome!"
It was a good day.
Now it is 4 PM and I still haven't done any work or anything else. Library for the rest of weekend.
Deuces.
Oh and if you didn't know, "long dong" is Vietnamese for London. Teehee.
